Of course, if this is not the case, you're in a bit of trouble, so we should really have an escape route should that be the case.
Obviously it will be turned off right now, but if everything else in that section is unloaded I see no reason why your touch-screen drivers will be loaded in safe Mode on a fresh install. If your touch-screen driver it not loaded until a standard windows system comes up then you could well be able to re-install windows, boot into Safe mode, disable the driver and that setting should persist into the standard Windows configuration.Įdit: I should have stated - if you fire up Safe Mode and look to see if any of the Human Interface Devices (HiD) are loaded that should tell you if your touch-screen is going to be active in Safe mode. On the back you can access to the video cable and webcam cable bundled into one harness. Have you checked Windows Safe Mode? Right now, the driver will be turned off, as that's how you currently have it configured, but in Safe Mode there's a limited number of drivers which actually get loaded anyway. Carefully separate the LCD from the display cover and place it face down on the table. There are no external monitors available so that's not going to work either.
It's a hardware fault (obviously) so the screen/cablnig will need to be replaced to actually fix it.
